The exact number of diverse members remains unknown. Usually, 80 to 100 will show up to rehearsals. Same goes for performances. The E-Mail-Distribution-List reaches hundreds of names and they increase in number week by week. Some of them do not sing in the choir anymore, others decided to take a break. But hardly anyone would like to see their name deleted from the distribution list. Because you never know, and people like to come to the concerts just to listen. Largely due to the fact that these are usually fund-raiser concerts for projects in Africa, South America, Asia or Europe.

The Choir of Diversity has been led by Bernhard Sieberer since its foundation in January 2012. Thank goodness for that. For, you need a musician with a lot of dedication and a strong social sense alongside a committed team to turn this motley crew into a wonderfully cohesive whole—and still stick to the choir’s original intention: promoting cultural, social and human diversity.
