Clara Rauchegger is Senior Assistant Professor of EU Law and Digital Technology Law at the University of Innsbruck.


Her research focuses on the regulation of digital platforms and artificial intelligence by the EU. As a member of the Digital Science Center at the University of Innsbruck, she investigates the achievements and risks of digitalisation from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Clara Rauchegger earned her PhD in 2016 from the University of Cambridge and subsequently worked for two years as a postdoctoral researcher and project leader at the European University Institute in Florence. Prior to her academic career, she gained professional experience at the European Parliament and the European Court of Justice.

Rauchegger’s research has received numerous awards, including the Research Prize of the City of Innsbruck. She regularly comments on current developments of digital policy for broadcast and print media.
