Even one and a half years after the Assad regime was toppled, Syria remains in a state of political limbo. It is still unclear how this multi-ethnic state can confront its past. Starting in 2025, the taz Panter Foundation initiated several months of workshops for female journalists from everywhere in Syria who are battling for justice, reconciliation and independent journalism in their country. A discussion about the special role of female journalists in public discourse and the importance of international projects to promote free media and speech in Syria.
