Gabriel Lipuš from Eisenkappel-Vellach has been chief executive of the bilingual Slovenian-German radio station Freier Radio AGORA 105 I 5 in Klagenfurt-Celovec. Lipuš is a Carinthian Slovene. Radio Agora first went live on air in 1998. Since 1998, Gabriel Lipuš has been chairperson and artistic director of the musical theatre GABRIEL. In this role, he has led and implemented numerous artistic projects, many of them in cooperation with other cultural facilities in the Alpine-Adriatic region. He pursued his vocal training at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He was deeply influenced by his collaborations with orchestras, various music ensembles, and renowned composers, conductors, musicians, and artists from film and theatre. As a composer and arranger for stage music, he has worked with nearly all Slovenian Theatres in the entire Alpine-Adriatic region. Gabriel Lipuš taught as a vocal coach at the Slovenian School of Music in Klagenfurt from 1997 to 2004. Between 2001 and 2018, he taught solo singing at the Carinthia State Conservatory. For his artistic work, he was awarded the Honorary Prize for Cross-Border Cultural Work, granted by the Arts Section of the Federal Chancellery.
Lipuš is also member of the Board of the Austrian Association of Independent Radio Stations VFRÖ
