Gundula Ludwig is a political scientist, professor of gender studies and director of the research platform Center Interdisciplinary Gender Studies Innsbruck at the University of Innsbruck. Ludwig’s work focuses on theories of society, state, power and democracy from a queer-feminist perspective, body and biopolitics and violence and gender. Ludwig was a Fulbright Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota, a visiting professor at the HU Berlin and a visiting professor at the FU Berlin. Ludwig is co-editor of “Femina Politica. Zeitschrift für feministische Politikwissenschaft” and co-opted board member of the Austrian Society for Gender Studies (ÖGGF). In 2024 Ludwig was awarded the Käthe-Leichter-Anerkennungspreis.
