At the Internationale Tage der Information in Innsbruck, journalists from different regions of the world can speak with their specific expertise, comment on pressing issues, debate with one another and talk to scientists, NGO representatives and the Audience.

Karin Lohr

Karin Lohr has held the position of chief executive for Munich street magazine Straßenzeitung BISS – Bürger in sozialen Schwierigkeiten e.V. (Association Street Magazine BISS—Citizens in Social Distress) for 11 years now. BISS is both a magazine project and a social enterprise that has been advocating for capacity-building measures for people in difficult social circumstances since 1993.  Before, she used to work as chief executive of Dynamo Fahrradservice Biss e.V. (Biss Bicycle Service Dynamo), a social enterprise in the intermediate labour market. Karin Lohr trained as a hotel management professional and earned a degree in sociology, before assuming a project management position in market and media research. During that time, she led the research area for daily newspapers, news magazines, and book industry at Infratest Burke InCom GmbH in Munich. She has an academic background in Psychology and Economics, and later held lecturing position, including courses in business sociology. Karin Lohr has an extensive overall experience in strategic business management, social integration, as well as conception and implementation of innovative projects in the social sector.
