Marian Wilhelm (*1987) is a film critic based in Vienna and Innsbruck. Since 2013, he has been working for several daily newspapers in Austria with coverage of international film festivals from Berlin and Locarno to Venice. He is part of the curation team at the Diametrale Film Festival and hosts film talks at other Austrian festivals.
With a background in comparative literature studies and a thesis titled „Larger than Life. The Myth Lawrence of Arabia“, he also co-curated the exhibition “The Sölden Dream Factory: From Hitchcock and Geierwally to James Bond”. Besides, he has been a paramedic with the Austrian Red Cross.
