Michael Riegner is assistant professor of public international law and international administrative law at Erfurt University. He holds a PhD in law from Humboldt University Berlin, an LLM from New York University, and studied law in Passau and Geneva. His published research covers international institutional law, human rights, global administrative law, as well as comparative constitutional law and development in the Global South. He is co-editor in-chief of the journal “World Comparative law”, principal investigator in the international, collaborative research projects “Amazon of rights” and “Varieties of Constitutionalism: Contestations of Liberalism in Comparative Constitutional Law”, and also works as a consultant for German and international development institutions. His current projects include a monograph on the corporation in the varieties of constitutionalism, and the documentary film “yatun yacu – Amazon of Rights”.
