At the Internationale Tage der Information in Innsbruck, journalists from different regions of the world can speak with their specific expertise, comment on pressing issues, debate with one another and talk to scientists, NGO representatives and the Audience.

Patricia Pantel is a freelance host, author, reporter and editor for radio and TV stations. Since the 90s, she has been working for different formats and editorial Teams of German public-service broadcasters ARD, ZDF and Deutschlandfunk Kultur.  (e.g. for the political format for a younger audience “Kanzlerbungalow” (chancellor’s bungalow) for WDR; the German-Polish magazine “Kowalski trifft Schmidt” (Kowalski meeting Schmidt) for ORB, Loveparade for ARD, early evening magazine “zibb” for rbb, and many more) 

She is member of the permanent team of radioeins (rbb) where she works as senior duty editor for the morning programme “Der Schöne Morgen” (The Good Morning), which was awarded the German Radio Prize, and hosts the automobile programme “Die Sonntagsfahrer” (The Sunday Drivers).

In addition to that she has a bird in her bonnet :  For Deutschlandfunk Kultur she has been hosting the children’s radio programme “Kakadu” (Cockatoo) for 10 years as well as hosting and scripting the podcast formats of Kakadu Podcast. Just recently, she was recognised with the Geisendörfer Award 2024 for the Kakadu Podcast “Was ist Antisemitismus” (What is anti-Semitism). She has also hosted numerous children’s and youth programmes on TV, like („Dr. Mag Love“ (ZDF), „0815“ (ARD), „Märchensommer“ (Summer of Fairy Tales) (ARD). 

She was bestowed with various awards and scholarships for her work (including the Kurt Magnus Award, an IJP Research Scholarship for the Philippines, and a RIAS USA Scholarship). She also works as a teacher in the training of journalists ems’ (electronic media school) in Potsdam.

Patricia Pantel is a graduate of the journalist training institution Berliner Journalistenschule and earned a degree in Politics and German Studies in Berlin. She has two children and is based in Berlin.
