Conveying scientific insights to a broad interested public is a wide-ranging field. Formats, platforms and kinds of storytelling are becoming more and more varied. Communicating complex learnings in an understandable manner remains a challenge for information mediation institutions at universities, for scientists themselves, and for independent science journalism. After all, in times of fake news and conspiracy theories, quality journalism has come under pressure. The possibilities for spreading scientific information keep increasing in number. But how can well-established scientific findings by conveyed in an understandable, appealing and credible way?
