Whistleblowing is a key mechanism of democratic checks and balances, capable of unmasking government and corporate corruption as well as human rights violations. Whistleblower Eileen Chubb went public with several cases of severe neglect in UK care homes and founded Compassion in Care in 2003 to support whistleblowers in similar situations. Iain Munro expands on her account with cases from the new book “Perspectives on Whistleblowing” that he co-edited.
