Zehra Ömeroğlu was born in April 1985. She has a degree in social sciences and business administration. Her professional career as a cartoonist began in the magazine Bayan Yanı, which began as a supplement to Leman and then became the only satirical magazine in the world composed mainly of women. Today she draws in Leman (Istanbul), Le Monde (France), France 24, Cartooning for Peace, Cartoon Movement and many other comic magazines. She has published 3 cartoon books in Turkey, appeared in Gallimard Editions books in France and currently working on her own graphic novel which will be published in Germany. She generally deals with the absurdity of the so-called seriousness of everyday life, women’s stories, taboos, human psychology and our inner conflicts.
