Andrei Vazyanau, born in Mariupol/Ukraine, lived and worked in Belarus, currently lives in Lithuania. D. in social anthropology from the University of Regensburg. Andrei Vazyanau, is an author and translator of publications in English, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Russian and German. Since 2018, he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences, European Humanitites University, Vilnius, and a researcher at Minsk Urban Platform (Belarus/Lithuania). His fieldwork experience includes urban and collaborative ethnographies in Donbass, Ukraine (2011-2013), Romania (2015-2016) and Belarus (2017-2021), focusing on mobility, time use and soundscapes. His most recent publications touched on issues of care and the use of new media during the mass repressions in Belarus.
