Dominik Prantl, born in 1977, is a journalist and author. He already financed his studies of economic geography, business administration and political science with articles for the Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ). He writes for the SZ and other media mainly about tourism policy, travel and Austria. Prantl has written several books such as the Gipfelbuch (SZ Edition), Gebrauchsanweisung für Namibia (Piper Verlag, 2018) and most recently Tirol – eine Landesvermessung in 111 Begriffen (Tyrolia, 2020). He loves the mountains and southern Africa, which is far too far away from his adopted home of Innsbruck.
