At the Internationale Tage der Information in Innsbruck, journalists from different regions of the world can speak with their specific expertise, comment on pressing issues, debate with one another and talk to scientists, NGO representatives and the Audience.

Elisabeth Grabner-Niel

Elisabeth Grabner-Niel, Mag.a phil. (equivalent to M.A.), earned her degree in languages (French, English) at the University of Innsbruck and is a graduate of the Foundational Studies Programme in Feminism at the Rosa Mayreder College in Vienna. She was active in the feminist field for decades, both professionally and on a voluntary basis. Among other roles, she served as a parliamentary assistant to the spokesperson for women’s affairs of the Liberal Forum, Maria Schaffenrath, and at the University of Innsbruck, she played a key role in developing the master’s program Gender, Culture, and Social Change as a coordinator in the field of Gender Studies. With a bit of interruption, she has been working for the Association for Emancipation and Partnership AEP since 1997, mostly dedicating her efforts to the publication of the feminist magazine aep informationen, and since 2021, to producing magazine-related programmes on FREIRAD bei der Gestaltung von Sendungen auf FREIRAD zur Zeitschrift; since 2018 she has been coordinator of the women’s petition Frauen*Volksbegehren in Tyrol. Grabner-Niel is a licensed Austria-Guide.
