Elisabeth Grabner-Niel, Mag.a phil., has a degree in languages (French, English) from the University of Innsbruck and is a graduate of the Feminist Foundation Programme at the Rosa Mayreder College, Vienna. She has been active in the feminist field for decades, both in her professional life and in voluntary work, including as parliamentary assistant to the women’s spokesperson of the Liberal Forum Maria Schaffenrath, and played a central role in the development of the Master’s programme in Gender, Culture and Social Change at the University of Innsbruck as coordinator in the field of Gender Studies. She has been active in the AEP Emancipation and Partnership Working Group since 1997 – with some interruption – particularly in the publication of aep information and, since 2021, in the design of programmes on FREIRAD for the magazine; in 2018 she coordinated the activities of the women’s* referendum in Tyrol.
