As founder and CEO of Bonn Institute, Ellen Heinrichs advocates for a form of journalism that places information interests of people at the core and creates added value for democratic societies. To do this, the charitable Bonn Institute collaborates with editorial teams and media representatives in order to pave the way to a solution-oriented form of journalism that opens an abundance of perspectives and is based on dialogue. In addition to workshops and consultation projects, the institute organises the b° future festival, the first festival for journalism and constructive dialogue in Europe.

Ellen Heinrichs started her career with the German daily newspaper Rheinische Post. After several intermediate stops at international organisations, she joined international broadcaster DW, where she has helped to promote the programme’s digitalisation efforts. Ellen Heinrichs is trained as mediator, agile coach and board member of Human Journalism Network.
