At the Internationale Tage der Information in Innsbruck, journalists from different regions of the world can speak with their specific expertise, comment on pressing issues, debate with one another and talk to scientists, NGO representatives and the Audience.

Karl Hoffmann

Karl Hoffmann is a journalist who lives in Palermo. Hoffmann started as a reporter in a small Franconian town, then was an editor, for a study visit to Paris, and finally a local reporter for five years at Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich.

From 1988 he was a freelance correspondent for the ARD radio station in Bologna. With a wide range of topics: from the algae plague on the Adriatic Sea to the refugee crisis, the Mafia bombings to the rise of Silvio Berlusconi to head of government.

1994 Appointed ARD radio correspondent and head of the Rome studio, responsible for Italy, Malta and the Vatican. A round-the-clock job between parliamentary debates, trips to the Pope and environmental scandals.

Since 2000, permanent freelance correspondent for the ARD stations, now based in Palermo. Focus on refugees, politics, mafia. Author and video journalist for Report München. Since 2022 ex-journalist and producer of gourmet olive oil in the Marche.
