Klaus Unterberger, born in 1962, has headed the Public Value Competence Center of ORF since 2007, following academic and journalistic work (Institute of Political Science at the University of Vienna; at ORF, among others, “Ohne Maulkorb,” “Argumente,” “Volksanwalt,” “Bürgeranwalt,” “Menschen&Mächte”). He is responsible for numerous measures of ORF quality assurance as well as for external and internal communication on the public service mission (e.g. “Public Value Report”, “TEXTE – public service quality in discourse”, “ORF DialogForum”) and manages and coordinates international projects in close cooperation with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). He is a member of the ORF Ethics Council and co-initiator of the “Public Service Media Internet Manifesto”.
