At the Internationale Tage der Information in Innsbruck, journalists from different regions of the world can speak with their specific expertise, comment on pressing issues, debate with one another and talk to scientists, NGO representatives and the Audience.

Maria Retter

Maria Retter, born in 1993, has been working as an investigative reporter at paper trail media since November 2023. In this role, she has been involved in various international investigative collaborations, including on sanctions evasion, possible war crimes in Gaza and surveillance. Retter studied International Economics and Political Science in Innsbruck and Paris. After completing her studies, she worked for Swarovski in the Competitive Intelligence department for just under two years, then graduated from the Austrian Media Academy and trained as a presenter, whilst simultaneously taking up a position as an editor at the Innsbruck office of the Austria Press Agency (APA). In 2021, together with other media professionals from across Austria, she founded “Inspektorin Grün”, a research collective against greenwashing and for sustainability. In January 2023, she joined STANDARD as Tyrol correspondent.
