Nora Belghaus was born in 1988 in Saarbrücken. She works as editor and reporter for German weekly wochentaz in Berlin and is in charge of the reading extracts in their societal section. She studied Social and Cultural Anthropology in Vienna and Berlin and received her journalistic training at the journalism school Reportageschule (formerly Reportageschule Zeitenspiegel). Her work is mostly concerned with topics at the intersection of society, politics, environment and climate. She spent her first year in Latin America when she was an adolescent and has kept travelling back for longer stays. With the necessary backing of scholarships, she has been able to investigate on different matters in Bolivia, Chile, Argentina and Mexico.
