Thomas Pupp is founder and manager of Tirol KTM Cycling Team and was one of the main initiators of the 2018 Cycling World Championships in Innsbruck / Tyrol. Together with Gerhard Kapeller, he runs the cycling company Ride with passion, a name that reflects the way they operate and think. As a well-established elite training centre among the world’s best U23 Teams, the Tirol KTM Cycling Team is the core part of their efforts, providing support for young cyclists on their way to becoming cycling professionals. They want to serve as a strong community and an opinion-building platform for the subject of cycling in the grand scheme of things.
In collaboration with the Austrian professional teams Vorarlberg, Felt Felbermayr, Hrinkow Advsrics, and WSA KTM Graz as well as the founder of Vienna City Marathon Wolfgang Konrad, they managed to bring the Austrian Rundfahrt to life again in the summer of 2023. It was renamed Tour of Austria and is considered the most beautiful sightseeing tour in Austria. Pupp is involved as Tour Director.
As a communications entrepreneur, Pupp has gained 20 years of experience in creating concepts, slogans and marketing strategies. From 2012 until 2018, he was politically active and served a short term as territorial consultant for sports, environment and housing, then as a Member of the Regional Tyrolean Parliament.
