Participants

At the Internationale Tage der Information in Innsbruck, journalists from different regions of the world can speak with their specific expertise, comment on pressing issues, debate with one another and talk to scientists, NGO representatives and the Audience.

Johanna Small

Johanna Small has been an activist, facilitator and project leader for the international NGO DISCOVER FOOTBALL since 2010. The sport scientist uses football as a tool for empowerment and champions womxn’s rights, drawing from her own experiences of overcoming barriers in a patriarchal system as a player, coach, and association staff member. Her work has allowed her to learn from womxn in football across the globe, amongst others on the pitches of Berlin, Dar-Es-Salaam, Goa, and Duhok. She wants to amplify the voices of womxn in football that are not listen too enough, on topics that are not spoken about enough. Most recently she conducted leadership trainings for womxn in sport in Europe and she coaches a football team with and for womxn refugees in Berlin.
