Marc Kappeler is founder of the internationally renowned Zurich-based graphic design studio Moiré, which is also responsible for the Bern-based magazine Reportagen. Following his training as a graphic designer in an advertising agency in Bern, Kappeler moved to Zurich in order to pursue his B.A. studies. In 2000, he founded the graphic design studio Moiré with Markus Reichenbach. To date, Dominik Huber and Ruth Amstutz have joined the team. With their projects for museums, galleries and architect offices from London to Moscow, Moiré has managed to forge a reputation.
Moiré operates in the fields of editorial design, visual identity and type design. Moiré has co-developed the magazine Reportagen since 2009 and shaped its branding, design and corporate font. Today, Moiré is responsible for its art direction and design. The works of Moiré have regularly featured in specialised publications, various exhibitions, and prize giving ceremonies. Moiré’s fonts are published and sold by Grillitype.
