Rebecca Sandbichler, born in Innsbruck in 1988, is a freelance journalist and event presenter. Her career began in the German state of Hesse, where she studied online journalism, founded her own magazines and was head of special publications at the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. After the birth of her third child, she finally returned home to Tyrol.

She was editor-in-chief of the Tyrolean street newspaper 20er until mid-2024 and focused on solutions journalism and photographic quality after the major relaunch. Together with the city of Innsbruck, she announced the internationally acclaimed documentary photography prize “Korridor” on the subject of flight and migration, including an exhibition and special edition. After years of social commitment, her interest in people finally led Rebecca down a new path: she is currently completing a psychotherapeutic preparatory course and a degree in psychology at the Leopold Franzens University in Innsbruck. In her free time, she is involved in feminism at Soroptimist International Europe, for the Tyrolean Impact Economy and as a member of the Innsbruck Journalism Festival.
