At the Internationale Tage der Information in Innsbruck, journalists from different regions of the world can speak with their specific expertise, comment on pressing issues, debate with one another and talk to scientists, NGO representatives and the Audience.

Sabine Hofer

Sabine Hofer studied medicine in Innsbruck and completed her specialist training in paediatrics and paediatric endocrinology and diabetology. During her one-year research stay at Westmead Children’s Hospital in Sydney, she came closer to her post-doctoral thesis on childhood diabetes. In 2017, the internationally well-connected diabetologist was congress president for the world’s largest paediatric diabetes meeting, the annual conference of ISPAD (International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes, since 2022 Hofer has been a member of the board), in Innsbruck and was significantly involved in the EU project KidsAP, which was successfully completed in 2021. Sabine Hofer is head of the special field of diabetology at the Department of Paediatrics I at the University of Innsbruck.
