Ursula A. Schneider and Annette Steinsiek

@ Kristin Jenny

Annette Steinsiek and Ursula A. Schneider work as literary scholars for the Research Institute Brennero Archive at the University of Innsbruck. They edited prose by Christine Lavant (e.g. „Das Wechselbälgchen“ (The Little Changeling), 1998; „Aufzeichnungen aus einem Irrenhaus“ (Records from an Asylum), 2001), her letters („Kommentierter Gesamtbriefwechsel“ (Commented Comprehensive Correspondence), publication impeded) and lyrical works by Christine Busta („Erfreuliche Bilanz. Dialektgedichte“ (Pleasant Balance. Dialect Poems), 2013) published by Otto Müller Verlag. This is also where Paula Schlier’s book „Petras Aufzeichnungen oder Konzept einer Jugend nach dem Diktat der Zeit“ (Petra’s Records or the Concept of Youth under the Dictate of Time) was first published in 2018, and again in 2023 as paperback by BoD. Schneider and Steinsiek focus their research and publication efforts on Austrian literature and the culture of 20th century, on questions regarding archival theory and practice, edition philology and biographical research. They also published online portals that aim to grant to the public free web access to culturally relevant archive holdings (e.g. BustaSearch, 2013). Current projects: Ottmar Zeiller. Digital oeuvre catalogue and Wolf von Aichelburg. Letters and poems from exile.
